Who is eligible for Sephora Stands Together grant support?

All active full-time and part-time employees working at least 24 hours per week, including those on leave with pay due to short-term disability or PTO. For additional details please see the Apply page

*Ineligible: Seasonal and temporary employees, part-time employees working less than 24 hours per week, employees on unpaid leave or long-term disability, contract workers, joint venture resources, independent contractors, and retirees.

Who reviews grant applications?
Sephora Stands Together is administered by E4E Relief, a US-based non-profit. As a non-Sephora entity, E4E Relief has been designated to manage the grant processing and administrative aspects of Sephora Stands Together. Information provided is held in strict confidence by E4E Relief and grant decisions are made by E4E Relief's trained staff.

Who is E4E Relief?
E4E Relief is a wholly owned subsidiary of Foundation For The Carolinas, a 501(c)(3) public charity (Tax ID 56-6047886). With more than a decade of experience serving clients across the United States, E4E Relief is the nation's leading provider of employee disaster and hardship funds.

Who makes the final decision on the applications?
E4E Relief manages the grant processing and administrative aspects of Sephora Stands Together. This ensures confidentiality and impartial decision-making. They also have expertise on this subject matter to make sound decisions on qualifying events. Sephora staff does not review or influence application approvals or determination of grant amounts in any way.

How long do I have to wait for a decision?
Decisions are made within 3-5 business days from the time all documentation is received. Expedited turnaround times are in place for those with immediate needs due to a disaster.

How much will the grant amount be?
Grant amounts vary based on the nature of the event and related expenses. The maximum grant award is varies based on the location of the associate and the currency exchange rate. All grants are determined in USD and will be distributed to the associate in their local currency. Assistance may be paid directly to the vendor or the employee, dependent upon the individual circumstance.

Hardship Relief: While the maximum grant award for Hardships is up to $2,500 USD and $5,000 USD per 12-month period, grant amounts vary based upon the need and expenses requested with each eligible event.

Disaster Relief: The maximum grant award for Catastrophic Disaster Relief is up to $1,500 USD for evacuation support and $3,500 for long-term recovery relief.

Will everyone know if I apply or if I receive a payment?
No. A third party, E4E Relief, administers the program and applications are confidential. It is up to you if you would like to share your story about assistance you received from Sephora Stands Together. 

If I receive payment from the fund, do I have to pay taxes or pay back the fund?
Associates outside of the U.S. and Canada may be liable for taxes on the grant received. This will vary by country and is the responsibility of the associate to report. Grants from Sephora Stands Together to U.S. and Canadian Associates are nontaxable. All grants are provided as gifts and need not be repaid.

Are there translations available for the website in other languages aside from Spanish and French Canadian?
The Sephora Stands Together site and application will be available in other select languages in the near future.
